Bespoke Tailoring in Bangkok: FAQ

At Om Fashion, bespoke suits start at 6,000 THB, tuxedos at 7,500 THB, and overcoats at 9,000 THB. The final price depends on the cloth. Every starting price is published on our pricing page.

Custom shirts start at 1,500 THB, tuxedo shirts at 2,000 THB, and trousers at 2,200 THB. Many clients order several shirts at one fitting since the measurements are taken only once.

Ladies suits start at 6,500 THB, dresses at 5,000 THB, and blouses at 1,800 THB, cut on a dedicated women’s pattern in the same fabric range as our men’s work.

Yes. Any alterations needed during the fitting process are carried out at no extra charge, because achieving the fit is part of bespoke tailoring rather than an add-on service. Alterations requested long after delivery, for example after a change in body size, are quoted separately and kept modest for returning clients.

No. Measuring, the style consultation, fittings, alterations to your new garment, hotel pickup, and in-room fittings are all included. You are quoted a total before any cloth is cut, and it does not change afterwards.

We accept cash, major credit and debit cards, PromptPay, and bank transfer at the shop in Bang Rak, and can arrange remote payment for repeat orders placed from overseas. Finished garments ship internationally at cost if you leave Bangkok before they are complete.

Most garments are ready in 3 to 5 days across one or two fittings. Larger orders and heavily hand-finished pieces need longer, and we tell you at the consultation rather than promise a date we cannot meet.

Yes. The style consultation is free and carries no obligation to order. We talk through what the garment is for, how you want it to sit, and which cloths suit both the occasion and the climate, then quote a total before anything is cut.

Usually one or two. The first confirms balance and shoulder line, the second refines the waist, sleeve, and length. Additional fittings are included at no extra cost if the fit needs more work.

Lapel shape and width, single or double breasted, vents, pockets, cuff and collar styles, lining colour, buttons, and embroidered monograms are all yours to choose. If you are unsure, we advise on what will flatter your build and suit the occasion rather than simply taking the order.

Bespoke drafts a new pattern for your body from scratch. Made to measure adjusts an existing block. Bespoke handles unusual posture and proportion far better; made to measure is quicker and cheaper. We offer both and advise honestly.

Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours, but booking ahead means we can set aside a proper hour for measuring and cloth selection. Message us on WhatsApp or use our appointment page to arrange a time.

Yes. Bring a piece that fits you well and we can pattern from it, either reproducing it in new cloth or using it as a starting point and refining the fit.

In many cases yes. Om Fashion offers an express tailoring service of roughly 12 to 24 hours depending on the garment, whether your chosen cloth is in stock, and the current workshop schedule. Express work is confirmed case by case rather than promised in advance, so message us with your travel dates and we will tell you honestly what is achievable before you commit. Sometimes. A rush order may carry a surcharge where it means moving other work or paying the workshop for evening hours. Any surcharge is quoted with your total before you commit, so there is never a surprise on collection.

The cutting and fitting standards do not change. What changes is the range of finishing available, since certain hand-finished details simply take the time they take. If a garment cannot be made properly inside your window, we say so and suggest an alternative rather than delivering rushed work.

Message us before you arrive with your dates, choose from cloth we hold in stock, come for your first measurement as early in your trip as possible, and stay reachable for one fitting. We can collect you from your hotel and fit you in your room to save you a journey.

Tropical-weight wools between 240 and 280 grams, high-twist fresco, linen, cotton, and genuine Thai silk, all chosen to work in Bangkok humidity. Fine imported cloths are quoted individually.

Yes. Genuine Thai silk is a house specialty, used for suits, jackets, shirts, dresses, ties, scarves, and linings. It is a signature Bangkok cloth few tailors handle confidently.

Between 240 and 280 grams for year-round wear. Lighter than 220 grams can look flimsy, while heavier than 300 grams is uncomfortable outdoors in the heat.

Yes, and this is where most of the value of the consultation sits. We ask where the garment will be worn, in what climate, and how often, then narrow hundreds of cloths down to a handful that will actually work. A suit for Bangkok board meetings, a linen jacket for a beach wedding, and a wool suit for European winters are three very different recommendations.

Yes, and it is one of the most popular additions to a shoe order. Belts are cut from the same hide as your shoes wherever possible, so the leather, colour, and finish match properly instead of almost matching.

Yes. We make men’s leather wallets and ladies’ handbags to order, in your choice of leather, colour, and internal layout, with monogramming available. See our custom leather goods page. These are made in the same workshop that produces our belts and shoes.

Yes. Genuine Thai silk ties, scarves, and pocket squares can be made in the same cloth as your suit lining or as standalone pieces, and we supply cufflinks to finish a formal outfit. These are popular as gifts and as a way to bring a piece of Thai silk home without commissioning a full garment.

The earlier the better, and we would rather hear from you months ahead than days ahead. Group orders involve more people, more fittings, and more coordination than a single suit, and building in slack is what keeps the week of the wedding calm. If your party is arriving in Bangkok shortly before the ceremony, tell us the dates and we will be straight with you about what is realistic.
